You spent days on discovery and got all the business requirements, additional time on finding each of
the data sources and countless hours on cleansing and ETL/ELT to get the data into Power BI. Now you
need to model the data so that the aggregations are accurate, the slicers and filters are fast, and so the
power users can build their own reports on your model. This session will cover the importance of Data
Modeling in Power BI, focusing primarily the Star Schema, Fact Tables and Dimensions. We will also
discuss the pros and cons of additional dimension tables (snowflaking). Getting the modeling right is
critical for fast and accurate reports and data consistency throughout your organization.
